The Chinese language classes are usually scheduled in the morning hours, from 8:00 to 11:30. Usually two to three classes are offered that serve students whose Chinese are in varied levels. The elementary Chinese class is an entry-level class, equivalent to Chinese 101 in North American colleges. The next comes the intermediate Chinese class, which is for students with some background but not yet advanced, roughly matches Chinese 201. A possible higher-level , advanced Chinese class, is for those who don’t fit in either the elementary or the intermediate classes.
