The optional program is scheduled during the second weekend. Students are welcomed to participate in an overnight trip to either Xi'an, where the Terra Cotta is found and displayed, or Inner Mongolia, where they will ride on the horseback like the old "barbarians."

The cost for optional program is not included in the program fee.
